US-based Planet Payment has collaborated with ACI Worldwide to bring UnionPay International’s SecurePlus solution to merchants to accept UnionPay-branded debit and credit cards online.
Unlike UnionPay’s existing solution SecurePay that re-directs users to a payment page hosted by UnionPay for accepting card payments; SecurePlus solution facilitates the acceptance of both credit and debit cards without a re-direct to a UnionPay hosted payment page.

Additionally, SecurePlus supports transaction tokenisation and recurring payments, and can provide 100% protection from fraud charge-backs, a significant concern for merchants selling cross-border.
With the support offered by ACI and Planet Payment for SecurePlus, merchants can now price and sell goods in multiple currencies, such as Chinese Renminbi, Hong Kong Dollars, US Dollars and Singapore Dollars.
