Cross-border payment platform, dLocal, has partnered with Eneba, a marketplace with 10 million registered users and 80,000 products for gamers.

The collaboration aims to create a vector of accessible gaming for the over 316 million gamers in Latin America. Of this number, 136.6 million are based in Brazil and some 82% spend money on video games. Specifically, the partnership will expand the options of alternative payment methods (APMs). The markets and payment methods that will be made accessible through this partnership include bank transfers, card and cash payments as well as PIX, in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru & Uruguay.

“Easy access to local payment methods is one of the most frequent requests from our customers and the reason they decide to buy on Eneba. This partnership enables us to better cater to our user’s needs and help everyone in Latin America discover the joy of gaming” said Mantas Eitutis, Head of Payments & Risk at Eneba.

“dLocal’s expertise in providing a seamless payments experience across the LATAM region gives us the confidence that our community can simply focus on playing their favourite games.”

Agustin Botta, dLocal’s Head of EMEA, added: “Opening up the passionate gamers in Latin America to a vast array of gaming products is nothing short of a major achievement. Serving growing, vibrant industries through providing accessible payments is, in my opinion, an underrated core of the value reliable cross-border payments solutions brings to the world. The joy of the experience and the communities they foster is enabled by payments, but at the same time, immeasurable.”
