Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has expanded its global presence by launching services in Australia.
The move will enable Australians to trade virtual currencies by downloading the Gemini mobile app on Android or iOS.
The app covers a range of digital currencies including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether, Zcash, and Litecoin.
Commenting on the expansion, Gemini co-founder and CEO Tyler Winklevoss said: “Cryptocurrency is the future of money, and we’re committed to building a bridge to that future in Australia.
“We are thrilled to continue expanding our global footprint and give Aussies a safe and trustworthy cryptocurrency experience. We founded Gemini to build trust in this nascent technology and we look forward to building that trust in Australia.”
Apart from Australia, Gemini also has a presence in 49 US states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, as well as the UK.
