Nigeria-based Diamond Bank has launched a new Visa Signature debit card that features everyday rewards and exclusive lifestyle privileges.
The Diamond Visa Signature Naira Debit Card is part of the bank’s Xclusiveplus membership programme.
The programme also offers a variety of travel and lifestyle benefits. Examples are access to more than 800 airport lounges, 24-hour concierge services, and VIP privileges at luxury hotels.
In addition, the premium card provides free travel insurance. This covers the cardholder and family members for medical emergencies, lost luggage and flight cancellation, among others.
Additional benefits offered by the card include free tickets for movies and certain events. It will also offer discounts at numerous merchants across the country such as restaurants, bars, hotels and shopping.
Diamond Bank head of consumer banking Karimot Tukur said: “Our customers told us that they want more travel benefits, greater peace of mind and something a lot more rewarding than they get from an everyday current account.
“The insurance is even valid for foreign visa applications. Our customers also get great entertainment benefits closer to home – including complementary event tickets through the year and free cinema tickets.”
The Diamond Visa Signature debit card is exclusive to XclusivePlus members. It works at more than 29 million in-store and online businesses who accept Visa. Moreover, it allows cash withdrawal.
The payments or withdrawals will not be limited by the currency of denomination as the Visa currency conversion system will apply for transaction request involving a different currency denomination.
