Econet Wireless Zimbabwe via its EcoCash has partnered with financial services firm Chitoro to offer remittance services to its customers based in Zimbabwe as well as in UK.
Following the partnership, Zimbabwe nationals living in UK can remit directly into EcoCash through Chitoro.

Econet said that the remittances, which can be received instantly, can be used to buy goods from over 18,000 merchants in Zimbabwe, or collected in cash from over 25,000 EcoCash agents.
Econet Wireless Zimbabwe CEO Douglas Mboweni said: "Through our partnership with Chitoro, we are also playing a role towards the government’s drive to improve diaspora remittances into the country."
Chitoro director Haxton Rose said: "The EcoCash channel adds convenience and choice for recipients in Zimbabwe."
