Emirates Skywards, the loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai, has partnered with Barclays to roll out its first co-branded credit card in the US, dubbed Emirates Skywards Mastercard.
The credit card launch is part of Emirates Skywards’ strategy of providing its members with more opportunities to earn miles on the ground.
It also aligns with the recently launched Skywards Miles @mall in the US, which is said to offer over 1,000 ways to earn miles while shopping online and instore with popular brands including Apple, Macy’s and ASOS.
With the Emirates Skywards Mastercard, customers will be able to earn Skywards Miles through everyday spend, including travel and lifestyle purchases. Additionally, they are offered immediate Silver or Gold tier membership status during the first year, and can earn up to 40,000 bonus Skywards Miles among other privileges.
Emirates Skywards divisional senior vice-president Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher said: “We’re excited to introduce our first-ever cobranded credit card in the U.S. to help travellers accumulate even more Skywards Miles on their everyday spend and travel purchases.
“The Emirates Skywards Mastercard offers a fantastic opportunity to accelerate Skywards Miles earnings for spend on future flight rewards with Emirates and our partner airlines, jetBlue and Alaska Airlines.”
