By GlobalDataLast year, Jumio added a facial-detection technology, called Face Match, to its Netverify line of online and mobile ID-verification services.
Equifax explained that its consumer information resources, such as credit scores and billing details, will be used with Jumio’s authentication and validation capabilities to reduce fraud, and upgrade the consumer mobile commerce experience.
The services will also be integrated with the Equifax Mobile Wallet functionality, allowing consumers to make purchases through their mobile, either by scanning their credit card with their smartphone, or use it in-store to complete a transaction.
Anand Krishnaswamy, vice president of mobile commerce and payments at Equifax, announced that the service will be made available within a couple of months.
