UAE-based First Gulf Bank (FGB) has formed a strategic partnership with du to launch a new FGB-du co-branded credit card.

The new card aims to provide telecom and financial benefits to FGB and du customers.

The new credit card will also provide cardholders benefits such as 10% on all their du bills – prepaid, post-paid and du TV services via du’s auto-payment online, as well as 10% bonus credit for recurring prepaid recharge.

Available as a Titanium and Platinum MasterCard, the card will provide cardholders purchasing data plans with the Smartphone Privilege Offer a 10% discount on their monthly plan charges as well.

Additionally, cardholders can earn triple reward points on du spend which can be redeemed against the full portfolio of du services under the Talk for Free programme, including their bills and prepaid recharge.

FGB head of personal banking Girish Advani said: "We are working to combine the strength of both organisations to help UAE residents ‘Connect More to Life’. Customers who are new to the UAE will benefit significantly as well, as they will have a one-stop-shop for all their telecom and financial needs."

du executive vice president – consumer business Ahmed Mokhles said: "Our pioneering collaboration with a prominent UAE-based bank such as FGB will offer du customers optimal convenience through an additional hassle-free payment and recharging channel combined with remarkable savings."
