US-based fintech firm FinFit has launched a Visa prepaid card to enable simplified financial management for its customers across the country.

The FinFit Visa Prepaid Card is intended to offer a digital alternative to cash and checks. Cardholders will be able to receive direct deposits.

Issued by Central Bank of Kansas City, the new FinFit card can be used for cash withdrawals from ATMs, online bill payments and on-the-go transactions.

The prepaid card is directly linked to FinFit membership, and is free to all members. Upon activation, the card can be used with all FinFit services.

FinFit president David Kilby said: “FinFit can now be in the pockets of every one of our members. We strive to provide the ultimate convenience and eliminate as much stress as possible from our members’ daily lives.

“With this card, they’ll be able to receive direct deposits at no charge. They can easily pay bills online. They can reload their card whenever they need to. Everything is digital – we want to give them a simple solution to avoid the inconvenience of carrying cash and checks.”

Founded in 2008, FinFit offers a comprehensive financial wellness benefits programme to more than 125,000 clients.

Its portfolio includes personalised financial assessments, online education tools and credit resources, budgeting apps and real-world financial solutions, among others.
