First Community Credit Union (FirstCCU) has decided to deploy Matica Technologies’ instant card issuance solution across all 40 of its branch offices in the US.
Under the agreement, Matica will implement its ‘Cards On The Spot’ solution which will be integrated directly into the core and transaction processing networks of the credit union.
The Missouri-based credit union, which has been issuing debit cards instantly since 2007, noted that the new solution will enable it to further improve its services and conveniences for more than 325,000 customers.
After opening an account, the account holders are instantly provided with a fully-activated EMV debit card within minutes.
In case the card is lost, the branches issue a new card instantly.
First Community Credit Union vice president of marketing Laura Alfeldt said: “First Community was an early adopter of instant issuance debit cards.

Matica regional sales director Jim Geiger stated: “The fact that we can extend this partnership to now offer them a solution for all of their instant issuance needs is something that we are thrilled about.
“First Community knows instant issuance, their members have come to expect it and value it. We are happy we can help them continue to offer it in a way that will enhance the experience.”
First Community will start deploying Matica’s software and hardware starting October/November this year.
