UAE-based foreign exchange and remittance company GCC Exchange has formed a strategic alliance with Paykii to enable domestic, cross-border bill payments, and prepaid top-up services.
The partnership agreement was signed at GCC Exchange head office.
The partnership aims to facilitate bill payments of water, electricity, mobile recharge, internet, and other utilities for both residents and expats.
GCC Exchange general manager Yash Rajesh said: “We believe that this partnership is going to bring a lot of new milestones for us, as well as Paykii. I hope and wish that this partnership ends up taking the names of both the brands higher and higher.”
Paykii COO Nelson Irizarry said: “It is a privilege to be a part of such a great partnership. We are more than excited to work towards the betterment of the services.
“This collaboration between GCC Exchange and Paykii will introduce the ability for individuals living in the UAE to easily and quickly pay bills for themselves and their loved ones back home.”
Paykii offers bill payment solutions to financial institutions, businesses, and money transfer operators.
The company operates in more than 30 countries. These include countries such as India, Philippines, Nepal, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia as well as various African countries from where a majority of UAE residents and expatriates come from.
Last year, money transfer firm WorldRemit collaborated with Paykii to enable cross-border bill payments. The partnership enabled WorldRemit customers to make bill payments using the app or website.
