GFG Group, a New Zealand-based international payments software solutions provider, has collaborated with BRED IT, an IT services hub in Thailand, to provide an advanced payments solution to BRED Bank Fiji (BBF).
The full-service payment system infrastructure employs GFG’s card management solution, Cadencie, along with payment switching functionality to drive ATMs and POS devices.
The phase I of the BBF project includes private label debit card issuing and acquiring on ATM and POS, and Visa acquiring on ATM and POS, while the project will include Visa issuing and MasterCard acquiring during the further phases.
GFG Group Asia Sales vice president Miguel Warren said that the successful first phase of the BBF project is a testament to the capabilities of GFG Group and BRED IT and the strong partnership the companies have formed working together on projects in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.
"Our relationship with BRED I.T. allowed for close cooperation and coordination and resulted in flawless execution of the first, and most important, phase of the BBF project," added Warren.
GFG Group claims that it is in the process of scoping the requirements to build the standard interchange, which is expected to replace the existing non-standard bi-lateral connections established between each of the banks.
