Canada’s Glance Technologies has upgraded its Glance PayMe application with new features to support faster transactions.
The new features will facilitate payments through quick response (QR) code, bluetooth, and digital invoice.
Through the QR code and bluetooth payment options, merchants will be able to accept secure payments from in-person customers.
In this context, the company cited the examples of Alipay and WeChat in China, which support payment by QR code. Glance Technologies said that these payment methods have “revolutionised commerce”.
Glance also cited findings by the Wall Street Journal, which revealed that the volume of mobile payment transactions in China were more than $9 trillion last year.
Digital invoicing will allow merchants to accept payments from in-person as well as remote customers. The feature can also be used to keep digital records of transactions.
