The Cyprus-based lender Hellenic Bank has launched a new, contactless pre-paid card, named "P" card Contactless to provide its clients with enhanced flexibility for completing everyday transactions.
The "P" card Contactless, which was promoted in Costa Coffee Stores in Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos, will allow users to carry out transactions without signing or entering a PIN for dealings of EUR20 or less.

There will be no physical contact of the card with the electronic payment system at the point of sale when dealing with small payments.
The advanced technology will speed up small daily transactions at kiosks, fast-food stores, mini markets, coffee shops, cinemas by substituting prevailing use of cash with card transactions.
