Furniture retailer IKEA US has introduced a new loyalty-driven Visa credit card as part of its collaboration with the card services business of Alliance Data.
The IKEA Visa Credit Card allows customers to earn rewards on IKEA purchases and on everyday spends such as gas, groceries and utilities. Cardholders can use these points to buy IKEA products.
IKEA designed the card to reach all possible customers with the spending power to use it for everyday purchases.
IKEA US chief operating officer Jacqueline DeChamps said: “At IKEA, we are passionate about helping our customers enjoy a better everyday life and are always looking for new ways to meet their needs.
“We spent almost two years creating the new IKEA Visa Credit Card to ensure the programme would support our mission by investing our profits back into value for the customer.”
Customers using the new Visa credit card will get 5% rewards on all IKEA purchases, 3% for dining, grocery and utility, and 1% on all other purchases.
