Prepaid products provider InComm has revealed plans for approximately $20m expansion in metro Atlanta and Columbus regions of Georgia, US.

The company estimates that the capital developments will create more than 150 jobs.

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal said that the state’s workforce and partnership ‘culture’ will provide the resources required for InComm’s expansion.

InComm’s decision comes after the completion of its recent acquisition of prepaid reloadable and gift card offerings, and the Serve technology platform from American Express.

Under the deal, InComm became the programme manager and processor, expanding its prepaid cards and technologies portfolio designed for retailers and consumers.

InComm CEO Brooks Smith said: “In addition to bringing new distribution partners into our network, we look forward to welcoming 400 employees to our workforce nationally, more than 150 of whom will work in several of our Georgia offices.

“Some are transitioning from American Express and others are being hired by InComm as a result of the new business. Their knowledge will be invaluable as we integrate these products into our portfolio over the coming months.”
