Payments technology firm InComm has rolled out prepaid products in South Africa, in association with local retailer Pepkor Group and payments transaction integrator Flash.
The prepaid offerings being offered in South Africa include content, gaming, streaming as well as ride-hailing gift cards.
Flash will serve as the exclusive distribution partner of InComm in South Africa.
The prepaid products of InComm will be distributed across South Africa leveraging Flash’s informal retail network that comprises small independent merchants.
The offerings are expected to cater to “tens of millions” of customers on a monthly basis.
Besides, Pepkor, with a store network of over 4,000 in South Africa, will provide the prepaid products at its outlets.

By GlobalDataInComm senior vice president for EMEA and Russia Simon Osgood said: “We couldn’t be prouder of this milestone: launching in South Africa with the country’s main retail distribution partner.
“There’s huge potential for all the products we’ll be offering, especially the adoption of gaming products for a population that is experiencing double-digit annual growth in online gaming.”
Last week, InComm introduced its gift cards in France and Germany.
The move was the result of the firm’s alliance with multiplayer online video game and game creation system Roblox.
InComm recently also partnered with retailer Poundland and transaction processing technology firm Eezi to launch a gift card programme in the UK.
