Infobip has announced that its mobile payments solution now reaches 2bn users worldwide in over 70 countries.
The global cloud-based payment provider said increased users have led to a tenfold increase in merchant revenue and up to 85% conversion rates for successfully completed transactions.
Paolo Rizzardini, Infobip’s vice president of mobile payments, said: "Infobip’s long-time leadership in mobile platform development has kept us at the center of industry innovation, and we have focused our investments on expanding into important new sectors like mobile payments.
"We work closely with enterprises and mobile operators to identify the most critical needs for payments solutions and use our expertise to implement those features into our platform."
Infobip’s mobile platform, Centili, allows small online payments to be made from mobile apps and charged to users’ mobile phone bills.
Rizzardini said: "Our mobile payments solution is built on our extensive knowledge of the needs and behavior of mobile operators and users.
"We continue to stay close to the pulse of mobile industry innovation to ensure that our platform features the most cutting-edge mobile payments capabilities."
The company has forecast a 100% revenue growth in mobile payments for 2013.
