French electronic payment terminal developer Ingenico has partnered with FreedomPay a white label commerce platform for banks, retailers and healthcare firms, to launch the Telium2 series point-of-sale (POS) payment devices.
The devices will be powered by Ingenico’s retail base application software and will accept stripe and EMV chip-card payments and NFC-based transactions.
Both companies have secure transaction transcription technologies; Ingenico’s On-Guard and the FreedomPay’s Commerce Platform.
The new device is an SRED-certified payment processing solution with a certified point-to-point encryption transaction platform. It connects all major North American acquirers to point-of-sale (POS) devices.
Ingenico devices will be integrated and connect to the FreedomPay Commerce Platform, a cloud-based smart technology gateway, that supports true point-to-point encryption (P2PE).
Tom Durovsik, CEO of FreedomPay, said: "Partnering with Ingenico gives our customers access to state-of-the-art devices and Ingenico’s customers access to payments innovations including mobile payments, incentive management, business intelligence dashboards and more."
Thierry Denis, president of Ingenico, North America, said: "As the top solutions provider, Ingenico is always looking for innovative ways to maximize and enhance its offerings. Combining our Telium-based devices with FreedomPay’s advanced commerce platform enable merchants to address their P2PE concerns, get ready for EMV adoption, broader payment, loyalty and customer engagement innovations."
