A ‘Swipe for iPhone’ application has been enhanced to offer merchants a complete credit card processing solution across a selection of Apple products.

The ‘Credit Card Swiper’ app, developed by AppNinjas, offers Independent Sales Organisations (ISOs), banks and other merchant-focused organisations a same-day start-up and access to its PA-DSS certified solution via the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

“As conventional mobile terminals are being replaced by smartphones, ISOs and banks want to get to market with their own branded mobile processing solutions,” said AppNinjas CEO John Waldron.

“Now that we are offering an iPhone swipe accessory, they can quickly reach the market with a turnkey solution for retail transactions – saving them the expense, hassle, and compliance reviews of rolling and their own solution.”

AppNinjas claims swiping credit cards through the app offers merchants lower rates when paired with a retail merchant account and reduces the time required to process each transaction.

The app can also be customised to integrate with a retailer’s existing payment gateway.
