ISS implements e-invoicing

Finnish property services giant ISS Palvelut
has implemented an e-invoicing solution for its Finnish business
units.

The solution has been developed by financial
management services provider Basware in an agreement worth
approximately €700,000 ($1.1m) over the next three years.

The services will be in place by the beginning
of June 2011 and will include the transaction of e-invoices, data
recognition services for scanned invoices, printing services and
the development of a web portal for suppliers.

“We are pleased to be able to deliver an
extensive e-invoicing solution to ISS Palvelut,” said Ilkka Sihvo,
CEO of Basware.

“With the Basware service, companies can
automate their invoice processing and quickly benefit from lower
costs per invoice. The service can also be easily scaled as invoice
volumes grow.”

Integrating these services enables
companies with large supply chains to send invoices in electronic
format and encourage their suppliers to start using
e-invoicing.
