Sweden-headquartered mPOS vendor iZettle is five today. It is celebrating its birthday with the launch of a a number of improvements designed to help small businesses sell smarter and keep growing.

At the same time, it is rolling out a reduced pricing model: 1% percent per transaction – the only cost levied on iZettle merchants.

According to iZettle, it will handle transaction volumes of €3bn ($3.41bn) this year and is currently signing up 1,000 new businesses to its service every day.

Since its 2011 alaunch, iZettle has expanded to operate in 12 countries and expanded its range of services with the aim of assisting small businesses to improve profitibility.

iZettle claims that its users grow their businesses by more than 15% every year, compared to the EU average of 3.3%.
