JCB International and Nets Group have teamed up to bolster JCB Contactless acceptance in the Nordic region.
Nets Group, which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, offers services to financial institutions, businesses, and merchants across Europe.
The strategic partnership is aimed at the overall expansion of JCB Contactless acceptance in Europe.
The JCB Contactless payment solution is compliant with Near Field Communication and EMV(R) Contactless Communication Protocols.
According to JCB, its cardmembers can now use JCB Contactless on 244,000 merchant POS systems across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
Concardis and Nets Merchant Services CEO Robert Hoffmann said: “We are happy to support contactless acceptance of JCB across the Nordics benefitting JCB cardmembers once they again can travel abroad.”

JCB’s proprietary data shows that JCB Contactless saw an over 30% increase year-on-year in July 2020.
JCB issues cards across various countries and regions internationally, including Japan, Russia, China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
In February this year, JCB International expanded its partnership with payments and transactional services company Worldline.
Prior to that, JCB International partnered with ACI Worldwide to boost merchant acquiring capabilities globally.
