Taiwanese payments processor JKOPAY has partnered with InComm to expand its services to Japan.
With this partnership, JKOPAY will now be available as a payment option across 18,000 Japanese retail stores.
The move expands merchant payment options In Japan and will enable the Taiwanese tourists shop at local retail stores.
JKOPAY is one of the largest QR and barcode payment services in Taiwan accepted by more than 80,000 brick-and-mortar stores.
Following the launch in Japan, JKOPAY will offer a 20% discount on purchases made using the app for three months.
The collaboration will also support InComm Japan strategic growth as it seeks to integrate regional QR and barcode payment processors.

InComm Japan is a subsidiary of payments technology firm InComm. The company’s local payment partners include au PAY, Origami Pay, d Payment (R), PayPay, Japan Post Pay, LINE Pay, Rakuten Pay (App Payment), Resona Wallet and J-Coin Pay.
