BNPL firm Klarna has expanded its alliance with WooCommerce, the ecommerce platform built on WordPress, with the integration of Klarna as a default payment option for merchants using WooPayments.
This is said to position Klarna as a primary payment network choice along with traditional card payments for WooPayment global merchant base.
WooCommerce powers over four million online shops worldwide.
This move will support Klarna’s transition from an ‘alternative’ option to a retailer’s default choice.
Approximately 30% of the payments processed by Klarna globally are immediate payments with a diverse range of consumer payment behaviours.
The company’s payment options cater to various consumer preferences, offering immediate payments, short-term, interest-free Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) plans, and longer-term financing solutions.

Woo payments head stated: “Offering flexible payments acceptance has become such an important tool for merchants to increase cart values and drive sales.
