Mastercard Priceless Experiences is set to launch soon after the company announced plans in Cannes.

The Priceless Experiences will be Mastercard’s first-ever voice assistant for smart speakers tapping into the market that has enjoyed the presence of Siri and Alexa.

By 2020, 75% of US households will most likely own at least one smart speaker. This makes it a lucrative sector to move into. An additional 74% of Americans now prioritise personal experiences over products.

Therefore, Mastercard has developed the skill as a go-to resource for unique experiences in home cities or while travelling.

The Mastercard Priceless Experiences offers access to tailored activities in the cities where consumers live and travel to.

Cardholders looking for memorable experiences while holidaying or want a special encounter closer to home can now access experiences through Mastercard’s Alexa-enabled or Google smart speaker, as well as through Priceless.com.

The voice assistant will be available later this summer. Cardholders will be able to hear about a wide variety of experiences available in cities. These include New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago.

The process is extremely simple; users access experiences by asking their speaker to “Open Priceless Experiences.” Smart speaker owners will know the skill has activated thanks to the immediate chime of the Mastercard sonic melody.

Priceless experiences include touring a private art collection in Miami’s Design District, dining at the chef’s table at a famous LA restaurant and visiting the world’s first urban rooftop vineyard.
