US merchant services company Merchant Link has agreed a multi-year deal with payments technology company Phoenix Managed Networks.
The partnership will offer Merchant Link’s tens of thousands of US customers Phoenix Managed Networks PCI DSS firewall service and breach insurance of up to USD100,000.

The firewall service is cloud-based and contains an on-site security application that locks down the point-of-sale (POS) system, whilst segregating payment traffic from all other corporate IT data.
The breach insurance aims to provide merchants with financial protection should they have a security issue and it is the first time an end-to-end payments management system has come with such a feature.
