METRO Cash & Carry, the international self-service wholesaler, has agreed to extend its existing partnership with a prepaid services company PrePay Solutions to enhance its customer strategy.

Customers will now be able to use the same card to make purchases and get reward points through PrePay Solutions’ back-end and the store value platform, reports Bdaily Business News.

Metro can authorize transactions on either the payment feature or the cash back value.

Also, it will provide a loyalty program that offers recognition and rewards to its best customers.

The recognition benefits include preferred parking, extended opening hours, dedicated tills and customer service, while, the reward benefits include exclusive access to special promotions and attractive cash back offers.

The new strategy will complement the successful program launched early this year for METRO’s sister company, MAKRO, in the Czech Republic, which PrePay Solutions also facilitated.

METRO Cash & Carry Finance director Simon Zuckschwerdt said, "Our decision to extend this programme with PrePay Solutions was not only based on the existing contract, but also on their proven success of delivering the previous programme in line with our commercial plans.

"The collaboration with PPS, along with METRO’s investment in customer marketing to fully embed the programme within stores, has created a solid foundation for success," Zuckschwerdt added.
