Smartcard solutions provider Micropross is
joining forces with IT security company Brightsight to
collaborate on contactless smartcard testing.

Brightside will use Micropross’s
contactless laboratory tools, MP300 TCL1 and MP300 TCL2, as a
complement to its existing test equipment and security
analysis tools. The deal makes it possible to verify the
strength of the security features that are present inside a secure
micro controller with the support of a convenient and flexible card
reader and tester.

“As a security lab we have been working with
Micropross readers for years now and they have always proven to be
extremely flexible for a wide variety of different samples that we
have to test in our lab,” Silke Mergler, buiness strategy manager
for Brightsight told EPI.

“Therefore we decided to make them part of our
security analysis tools that our customers can use for in-house
security testing purposes.”

Micropross products are widely used in
research and development centres of chip manufacturers,
certification laboratories and system integrators.
