Belarus-based consulting and advertising firm Mingorspravka is set to expand the guest card programme in the country’s capital, Minsk.
The Minsk Guest Card is designed as a sightseeing smart card to offer discounts and special offers for customers. It also works as an electronic transport pass to pay for public transport.
The card can be availed at 37 museums, including 14 outside Minsk, 16 hotels, six catering facilities and eight retail networks.
Currently these cards are available at Mingorspravka’s information kiosks with a terminal to recharge the card for travel on public transport. The firm plans to expand the sales to retail chains, shops and Belsoyuzpechat newsstands during the first quarter, but without the option for transport pass.
Mingorspravka director Boris Vasiliyev said: “We are also exploring the option of combining the Guest Card with students’ electronic cards, designing the season card for families to visit cultural institutions.”
The firm further intends to increase the number of museums that offer free admission or discounts with the Minsk Guest Card.
