Australia’s Mint Payments has signed a deal with TravelPartner, a provider of travel agency software solution, to deliver its fully integrated online payments processing service to latter’s network of travel agents.

Under the two-year licensing and distribution deal, TravelPartner has integrated Mint’s card payment module into its core SaaS product offering VTO Ultimate to enable credit card payment acceptance by travel agents for all travel and service fee transactions.

The agreement removes the current manual effort required by the agent as the software seamlessly creates an invoice, takes payment, generates a receipt and reconciles it all against the travel booking.

Travel agencies using TravelPartner’s travel agency software solutions will now be able to complete payments processing tasks easily via the software, reducing the need for a labour intensive user experience, Mint Payments said.

TravelPartner founder and CEO Keith Harris said: “Today, travel agencies not only look for simplicity, affordability, portability, compatibility and industry compliance in their travel management application but they also seek an easier way to make and reconcile payments by their customers. Our software integration with Mint dispenses the manual process of payments and delivers cost and time savings, data security, integrity and accuracy.”

Mint Payments CEO Alex Teoh said: “We are excited to work with TravelPartner as our second travel industry specialist software-as-a-service licensee of the Mint online payments service. Following on from the successful deployments of integrated payments with Tramada, where we have processed over $180 million of payments, we look forward to extend this service and provide cost savings and process efficiencies to TravelPartners’ network of travel agents.
