Canadian fintech firm Mobi724 Global has entered into an agreement with Banco Promerica Guatemala to offer Card-Linked Offers & Rewards solutions.

Mobi724 signed the commercial agreement through its wholly-owned subsidiary Mobi724 Smart Transactions. Furthermore, Mobi724 solutions will be provided through the Visa Loyalty and Offers Platform.

Cardholders under Banco Promerica loyalty programme will be able to leverage the solutions to redeem offers. They can also make direct payments using rewards points at point-of-sale (POS) terminals.

The direct transactions, which can be carried out with payment card, will be accepted at all participating merchants.

Mobi724 CEO Marcel Vienneau said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our innovative technology and card-linked solutions to our first bank in Guatemala through our integration with the Visa Offers Platform.

“We look forward to delivering a seamless experience to Banco Promerica’s clients, and to maximise cardholders’ purchase activity to generate incremental revenues for the bank.”

In addition, users can access Mobi724 reward solutions with any payment card, mobile device and POS. It can also be leveraged by card associations, card issuers, banks, retailers and offer providers.

The company collaborated with Visa in January last year to integrate its EMV payment, card-linked offers and digital marketing solutions with the Visa Offers Platform.

Under the arrangement, Mobi724 can provide its solutions to participating Visa-issuing banks and their cardholders.
