MobiKwik, a digital payments company, has collaborated with South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics, to integrate MobiKwik wallet with Samsung Pay Mini to enable one-tap payments in India.
The collaboration will enable users to make payments with a single tap using select Samsung handsets at over 1.4 million MobiKwik-powered merchants across the country.
Additionally, MobiKwik’s mobile wallet will also be available shortly to users of Samsung Pay, which was rolled out in the country in March 2017.
Samsung Pay enables users to just tap and pay using the debit/credit cards and wallets stored on their mobile devices.
Recently, Samsung unveiled a ‘Mini’ version of its digital payment platform ‘Samsung Pay’ that integrates UPI and mobile wallets to work on mid-range priced smartphones.
Commenting on the agreement, MobiKwik head of growth Daman Soni said: “The future of digital payments in India will thrive only by collaborating with various ecosystem partners to drive acceptance. More than 55 million users and 1.4 million merchants will benefit from this association.”
