EBA Clearing’s e-commerce solution MyBank has gone live in four Italian banks and a bank from Luxembourg.
An additional 18 financial institutions are expected to go live with the solution on July 29.
Four months after its initial launch, a total of 51 financial institutions in France, Italy and Luxembourg will be using MyBank, making it available to over 10m retail customers.
Over 100 banks in Italy are expected to join the solution by the end of the year.
MyBank can currently be used by customers to make payments using their online or mobile banking interface, without having to disclose any personal bank account or payment details to third parties.
By 2014, MyBank customers will have the ability to create, modify and cancel e-mandates for SEPA Core Direct Debits. The pilot will begin in October 2013.
