UK-based payment acceptance solutions provider MYPINPAD has rolled out its new Open mPOS platform designed for PIN on Mobile (PoM) authentication.

Merchants, acquirers and payment service providers (PSPs) will be able to use the new solution to deploy PoM technologies without the need for Software PIN on COTS (SPoC) PCI certification.

According to MYPINPAD, the platform will offer a fully certified PoM solution that will save time and money for acquirers and PSPs during deployment of new mobile payment innovations.

The complete payment process on the Open mPOS solution is carried out through the company’s platform, while its MYPINPAD Pin Entry Solution (MPES) application secure PIN at the point of entry during PoM payments.

The combination of the new platform and a MYPINPAD-enabled card reader via an API is expected to facilitate easy integration into merchants’ existing payment applications.

MYPINPAD global head of Mobile POS Solutions David Poole said: “As technology trends influence innovation, accessibility and security, merchants of all sizes and consumers are looking to the payments industry to respond rapidly with products and services that meet their ever-increasing needs.

“Open mPOS will enable rapid deployment of PIN on Mobile, enrich the consumer’s in-store shopping experience and grow acceptance points globally.”
