NetCents Technology, a Canadian online payments processing platform, has concluded the first phase of its integration into Aliant Payment Systems.

The move follows a five-year revenue sharing agreement signed between the two parties last month that enables Aliant to offer a white-labelled NetCents cryptocurrency processing solution to its 7,000 US-based merchants. NetCents’ platform will power all cryptocurrency transactions of Aliant.

In the phase one of the integration process Aliant created the environment to work with the NetCents cryptocurrency merchant gateway as well as developed custom built feature sets.

Aliant is currently testing the platform in the live environment and plans to deploy the platform across its merchant network before the New Year.

Following implementation of the cryptocurrency processing solution, NetCents will begin the second stage of the agreement that involves integration of NetCents Coin into the settlement options.

The move will enable Aliant merchants to automatically accept the NetCents Coin for online purchases.

NetCents CTO Mehdi Mehrtash said: “The first phase of the integration is now complete and we are now testing in a live environment. The integration process has gone very smoothly, and we are a couple of weeks ahead of our planned implementation and rollout schedule.”
