Netspend, a prepaid card provider and a TSYS company, in collaboration with United Airlines, have announced the availability of the United MileagePlus GO Visa Prepaid Card.
Originally, the card was unveiled in May this year; however, it has been made available online at MileagePlusGO.com.
The new card enables cardholders to earn one United MileagePlus award mile for every $1 spent on qualifying signature purchases. The miles can be exchanged via United’s MileagePlus loyalty programme.
TSYS said that the card members can earn up to 2,500 miles per month, which will be deposited into the cardholder’s United MileagePlus account.
Furthermore, no credit check is required to avail the card and no late fees or interest payment is charged. However, the cardholders will have to pay an annual fee of $85 that will be deducted after the first load to the cardholder’s account.
Users can top up their prepaid card and use anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. The MileagePlus GO Visa Prepaid Card is issued by Republic Bank & Trust Company.
