Fingerprint sensor technology provider NEXT Biometrics will sample its dual interface smart card solution, called One Touch Flex CL, in the second quarter of this year.
One Touch Flex will enable use of the company’s technology for contact and contactless payment cards.
The solution will combine security and accuracy associated with NEXT Biometrics fingerprint sensors with the benefits of dual interface smart cards.
It can facilitate one touch fingerprint enrolment and verification on a dual interface smart card.
NEXT Biometrics CEO Ritu Favre said: “This is a key milestone in our company strategy and we are excited to be part of the development of these next generation dual interface smart cards.
“We are convinced that card issuers and their customers will greatly benefit from the smooth and reliable fingerprint enrolment and verification that our technology offers.”
