French digital security firm Oberthur Technologies has signed a six-year renewal agreement with Swedbank to provide payment cards, personalisation and smart services in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Under the renewed contract, OT will provide all Swedbank’s contact and dual interface payment cards portfolio, as well as personalisation services, operated in OT’s services centres in the Nordic region.
The agreement will also see OT offering Smart Services to the bank, such as Smart Assure and Smart OneCard.
OT said that Smart Assure is a business continuity planning solution that allows the bank to offer a high level of services to its cardholder base, while its Smart OneCard is a complete solution for picture cards.
OT has been serving as a sole supplier for Swedbank since 2009 to support the bank in strengthening and broadening its card programs.
