OT-Morpho, a digital security and identification technology firm, in collaboration with Chinese bank CMBC has rolled out its new Visa Signature credit card featuring OT’s Motion Code technology.
Motion Code is a new technology, which has been developed by OT-Morpho to offer enhanced security for online transactions.
The new card changes dynamic security code (CVV2) automatically every hour, which is displayed on embedded mini-screen, without requiring pressing any button. Thus, any stolen data becomes quickly unusable online by a fraudster.
Besides protecting cardholders against online fraud, the new credit card offers specific discounts for international travelers including hotels and airlines, as well as extra insurance on goods purchased online across the globe.
OT managing director of the financial services institutions for Asia Pacific Mark Garvie said: “CMBC is the first bank in China and in Asia to launch Motion Code and, furthermore, is doing so via WeChat to benefit from the power of this social network in China to provide an easy way for CMBC customers to order their Motion Code card in one click.
OT-Morpho, as CMBC’s preferred partner for its payment card operations since 2010, is very proud to launch this first credit card with dynamic cryptogram to guarantee top-level security for online payments.”
