African payment services firm DPO has expanded its footprint in the continent by launching a new office in Ghana.
The company will use the new facility as the headquarters for its West African operations.
DPO was launched in 2006 and also operates in Uganda, Rwanda, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mauritius, and Botswana.
The payments firm currently caters to more than 25,000 merchants including airlines, hotels, restaurants, travel agents, as well as tour operators, enabling them to accept major credit cards, mobile money and e-wallets in any currency.
DPO group CEO-Eran Feinstein said: “Ghanaian consumers and businesses are increasingly embracing the convenience that online payment brings. With the launch of our new office in Ghana we will be able to better serve these merchants and their consumers, and expand further into West Africa.”
