Adyen, a Netherlands-based payments technology company, has opened an office in Sydney to launch its payments solution in Australia.
The company allows retailers to accept payments in store, on mobile, and online with one partner, one contract, one technical interface, and unified reporting as well as streamlines payments for merchants and enables them to offer a seamless cross channel experience to their customers.
The firm’s payment platform connects directly to card schemes including Visa and MasterCard and over 250 different payments methods worldwide.
Adyen president for Asia Pacific Warren Hayashi said: "Australia has a dynamic retail environment, and we see enormous potential to enable e-commerce and omni-channel businesses in the market. Using the rich data available in the Adyen payments platform, merchants can deepen their understanding of cross-channel customer behaviour, and grow their revenue accordingly."
Adyen chief commercial officer Roelant Prins said: We see an enormous opportunity to enable merchants to offer a seamless mobile payment experience to their customers whether in-app, on the mobile web, or in-store, particularly as new payment methods such as Apple Pay are poised to launch in the market."
Adyen has recently raised $2.3bn in a funding round led by Iconiq Capital.
