Mobile technology company QikServe and PayPal have entered a strategic partnership to enable the UK hospitality sector to take orders and payments straight from customers’ smartphones.

QikServe’s ordering and paying solution can now be integrated into PayPal’s payment app, allowing users to browse the participating restaurants or bars menus, order food and drinks, then pay, all through their mobile device.

In all venues currently using the QikServe solution, customers can use their PayPal application to order and pay.

The service is already available in fast food outlets such as Armstrong’s Deli in Edinburgh, football stadiums including Hearts FC, Reading FC and Portsmouth FC, and in bars and pubs operated by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) like Henry’s Café Bar, in Covent Garden, London.

QikServe was founded in 2011 by a team of mobile self-service specialists. The company provides integrated solutions and drives engagement and loyalty through the consumer device.

The new system has been deployed across the UK and the United States in restaurants, bars, hotels, sports stadiums, airports and tradeshows.
