Paytm Canada has teamed up with payments provider Paysafe Group to boost its mobile payment capabilities.
Under the partnership, Paysafe will process payments for Paytm Canada.

At the same time, Paysafe will also offer additional data protection and security services, APIs as well as its payment gateway. In the future, the two companies plan to strengthen their alliance.
Paytm Canada CEO Harinder Takhar said: “Paysafe has worked with us as a true partner and their customer on-boarding and support services have made it a seamless process for us.
“Plus, with the amazing spike in popularity of our app in Canada, we are even more assured we have the right partner on our side.”
In announcing the partnership, Paysafe cited a Nielsen study that says that nearly one third of Canadians are actively using their smartphone as a mobile payment system.
