Greece-based Piraeus Bank has selected FARGO DTC1000 card printers/encoders of HID Global, a secure identity solutions provider, to instantly issue EMV debit cards to its retail banking customers.

FARGO printers/encoders will offer secure, cost-effective and easy to deploy solution for printing EMV debit cards in local branches of the bank across Greece.
HID Global has also partnered with CubeIQ, a regional banking solutions expert that has a longstanding relationship with Piraeus Bank, to integrate the FARGO solution into CubeIQ ‘s centralized card instant issuance solution, CIIS, for Piraeus Bank.
The printers will be used at 300 Piraeus Bank branches for on-demand card issuance, replacing the existing system of sending EMV debit cards by mail.
