San Francisco-based mobile POS developer Revel
Systems has launched the iPad Fiscal POS in Panama.
“The official launch happened four months
after Revel started testing the system in Panamanian coffee shops.
Now we plan to expand to all South American countries,” Chris
Ciabarra, the CTO of Revel Systems to told Cards
International.
The company invested $400,000 in the iPad
Fiscal POS System, which is fitted with a fiscal printer. The
new POS is mainly aimed at American businesses with franchises in
international territories where local governments require and
regulate the printer, such as South American countries and Canada,
Ciabarra explained.
The system tracks, locks and stores all
information on sales and tax generated by the retailer. The
information is isolated in a certain portion of the system
accessible only by the government, so it can make sure merchants
pay all necessary taxes.
The POS system can also be tailored to meet
other specific requirements depending on clients’ individual
requirements.
The price for each iPad Fical POS System is
$3,200.
