Revel Systems, an iPad-based point of sale system, has opened a new office in London, which will serve as the central hub for its business in the EMEA market.

The office, located in the Moorgate district of London, currently employs six sales representatives and customer success managers.

The company said that it is planning to grow headcount to 14 employees and is actively hiring for positions in sales and customer success roles.

Revel, which already has an office in Italy, is looking to open offices in France and Germany over the coming months.

Revel Systems co-founder and CEO Lisa Falzone said: "Our goal is to set the highest standard for customer service for Point of Sale in the EMEA market and our London-based team will be instrumental in helping us deliver on that to merchants throughout the region."

Revel has currently deployed over 20,000 iPad POS terminals globally in restaurants, retail establishments, stadiums and grocery stories, among other locations.
