Revolut Rainbow card is now available to celebrate members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies during Pride month.

As cities across the world mark Pride Month this June, banks have joined the celebrations by showing their support for existing and potential new customers.

Research conducted by organisations such as Stonewall and Out Leadership show that members of the LGBTQ+ community believe that the financial industry is not doing enough.

Therefore, Revolut is showing its ongoing commitment of inclusiveness with the Rainbow card.

The digital challenger will release 30,000 Rainbow cards to its five million customers on Monday 1st July. In addition the new card will be free of charge and available on a first come, first serve basis.

Furthermore, the Revolut Rainbow card will work exactly the same as the normal cards with all the same features available.

Revolut Rainbow card: inclusion and engagement

The financial industry has made some positive changes in order to support LGBTQ+ employees and customers. However there is still a long way to go.

Revolut is partnering with six LGBTQ+ influencers for London Pride Week:

  • Melanie Murphy
  • Riyadh K
  • Julia Zelg
  • Nova & Olympia
  • Salih’s World

Chad West, Head of Communications at Revolut, commented:

“Consumers today demand a greater degree of affinity with the values of the brands they opt into. Launching our new rainbow card marks a small step in our plans to support more social causes.”

Marsel Nikaj, Product Owner at Revolut. added:

“As we continue to build a diverse and equal rights business, supporting LGBT+ rights remains a cause close to our hearts. We love the design of our new rainbow cards and feel they are a great way to celebrate Pride month. They mark the first small step in our plans to work closely with important social causes. We can’t wait to unveil the next stage of our plans.”
