ROAM, a division of global payments technology provider Ingenico, has unveiled a new next-generation hardware offering, G5X secure mobile card reader, in the US.
The G5X is the first and only magnetic stripe mobile card reader to obtain Visa Ready certification, implying that the reader complies with all Visa’s requirements for secure payment acceptance.

Through its custom-branding options and compatibility with iOS and Android mobiles, the G5X secure mobile card reader provides businesses with a flexible, reliable and secure mobile point of sale (mPOS) experience.
The device can be used as part of ROAM’s end-to-end mPOS solution or integrated with an existing mobile payment application.
G5X features include advanced encryption technology, dual-track magnetic stripe reader (MSR) and an extended audio jack to plug into virtually any mobile device.

ROAM sells its mobile card readers through its network of acquirers, financial institutions, independent sales organisations (ISOs) and payment service providers (PSPs).
