Sberbank, a Russian banking and financial services firm, has added Google Pay and Samsung Pay services for the customers using its business cards.
Previously, business cards by Sberbank were used for in-store or online payments, withdrawal and deposit of cash, as well as to pay business trips and hospitality expenses.
The new features are intended to expand the cards’ capabilities to contactless payment offerings too.
Sberbank senior vice-president Sberbank Anatoly Popov said: “Sberbank helps businesspeople to be quick and efficient because speed is an increasingly important factor in the modern world of business.
“Our contactless business cards offer the full range of payment capabilities and are a simple and convenient way of accessing funds on company bank accounts.”
Cardholders can choose to use the new services, and those opting to utilise them must integrate the Sberbank card to the respective application on their device.
Furthermore, the bank has added Apple Pay service for the business card members. This application is designed to enable contactless payment on compatible Apple devices and can be used for online shopping in apps or on websites.
